5 Best Job Search Sites in 2022

Are you currently looking for a job? Or want to switch careers? If your answer is affirmative, you can be spoilt for choice as there are now thousands of websites online catered specifically for job seekers to find the jobs they like.

However, not all of these sites are legitimate as some only repost job openings from legitimate sites, while a few post only bogus job openings. Job search sites also cater to a specific niche, and those with a complex interface job seekers may find hard to comprehend. I know it can be frustrating because even as a recruiter, I find it hard to navigate some of the job platforms to advertise my positions.

If you want an efficient job search site to start your quest to find a new job, here are 5 of the best job search sites in 2022:

Indeed

Established in 2004, Indeed advocates a simple way for job seekers to find a job. They have to type in a “what” and “where” search bar, and it will show all the jobs available for that industry and in that location. Applicants can narrow the search down further by checking the job listing based on the company reviews, posted date, salary information and location.

Job options are available for all levels, and they even have a comparison tool available to help job seekers compare jobs salaries and a career advice section. It is also free to use, and no account is required to apply for any job listing on the site.

LinkedIn

Although it is a professional social network site, LinkedIn is another great job search site to check if you are looking for a job. When it was established in 2003, jobseekers used the site as their “digital resume”, which recruiters can check to review the applicant’s background. Many also used it to build one’s network to catch the attention of recruiters on the site.

As the site grew in popularity, it enabled users to look for jobs based on their title, company, location, employee level, etc. If one does apply for a position on the site, jobseekers can track the status of their application and speak to the recruiters through the site’s private messaging feature.

Monster

Monster is one of the oldest job search engines online and one of the most popular. Like other popular job sites, job seekers search by their job title, keyword, location, and intended employer. While the site does have limited filters, jobseekers who sign up for free have access to the site’s vast career resources for jobseekers to read up on to improve their chances for employment.

Glassdoor

For jobseekers who want to know if a company is trustworthy to work for, Glassdoor is the site to use. The site inspires users to review companies honestly and offer accurate data about the company so job seekers can make informed decisions about where they should work and why a specific company or employer. Job seekers can also check the company’s profile to see if they are good companies or not. As of 2020, Glassdoor is partnering with Indeed to bring more value to its users in their job search.

JobStreet

Capping the list of the best job search sites for 2022 is JobStreet.

JobStreet offers one of the most advanced jobs search engines online, with a job matching engine available to help job seekers narrow their options and compare options. The site also offers resources to help job seekers build their careers and improve their job chances.

Searching for a job online can be tedious, but they will produce results if you know which job search sites can get you in the right direction. Before hitting “Apply” in a job opening you see, do your research to see if the site is credible and the people posting these job openings are legitimate hiring managers and companies.

You won’t have to worry with the five platforms I listed above because they are tailored to job seekers and companies looking for potential employees. Happy job hunting!
