Best 10 jobs for People who Love to Talk

“Will you just shut up already?” that’s how my parents yelled at me back then because I love hogging the phone line for hours and hours. I thought, if I had it my way, I’ll be a telephone operator. Oh, wait… I was actually a telephone operator during holidays when I was still in school and come to think of it, I’m the happiest when I was working at the call centre.

So yes, I love talking to people!

If you are a word savvy like me, there are many job openings available for people who can articulate important messages to others through speaking and inspire people to move and work on their goals.

If you can speak before a crowd without fear, here are 10 of the best jobs that you can choose from:

Announcer

One of the most notable jobs that you should consider if you love talking is to be an announcer. Announcers usually work on television, radio, and stage or live shows wherein they provide narrations, introduce commercials, present guests and stars, and even monitor the entire agenda of the event. They usually begin the show and present important highlights of the event to the audience.

Coach

Being a coach is another great job if you are a good talker. Aside from being an expert on how to play their specific sports, coaches also need to inspire their team to work hard and do their best. A verbally gifted coach can also prevent disputes and can make the best deals for the team.

A life coach tends to have similar traits as a sports coach. To be a successful life coach, you should be able to inspire and motivate others through discussions and different exercises.

Customer Service Representative

Working as a customer service representative is also a good option if you are fond of talking to different types of people. They are the ones who take calls from clients which can range from product inquiries to troubleshooting.

Customer service representatives must be patient when speaking to clients at all costs even if the clients are starting to get mad or upset. They should still deal with the customers modestly and talk to them professionally. They also need to be resilient to customer complaints and rude demands as these are pretty common in their daily work.

Events Planner

If you like dealing with different people and managing an occasion, an event planner can be the right job for you. As an event planner, your goal is to make the event perfect. It requires talking and discussing with a lot of people which includes clients, suppliers, and announcers. Also, an events planner needs to make sure that everything needed is in place to satisfy your clients.

As mentioned, part of being an event planner is to negotiate with stockists to get the best deals. But, impressing and making an appeal to clients that you can work your magic for their special day are also essential in this job.

Teacher

If you like imparting knowledge to others, being a teacher is the best job for you. Teachers must be verbally gifted to become successful in this field. They must be able to convey new knowledge to their students and make complex topics easy to understand through their explanations.

But being able to talk isn’t enough to be a teacher, having other personality traits such as patience and resourcefulness are important and needed as well.

Interpreter

If you are a polyglot and loves studying languages, you can become an interpreter. Interpreters need to know at least two languages or more to be able to work in this career. In this job, you will speak on behalf of your client by translating their native language to the language that is needed in communication with other people. Interpreters must be able to effectively share the information that the clients want to convey to others.

Reporter

If you are up-to-date with the news and you are not afraid to share it, being a reporter may be your alley. Reporters will be in the field most of the time as broadcasting the news must be done in real-time. They are usually in the place where the current situation is happening and they must be able to report it in a way that people will understand it. As a reporter, you also need to be brave as some events may be dangerous and can put you at risk.

Speech-language Pathologist

Having a specific background like speech-language pathologist can be a good opportunity for you to help others. For some people, speech is something they cannot grasp because they are currently suffering from disorders or complications that prevents them from practising it. As a speech-language pathologist, you can diagnose the specific problems of your patients and provide them with the right treatment for their cases.

Salesperson

For products to sell, you need to catch people’s attention and therefore, you need to be good with your words to do it. As a salesperson, you are the middleman between your products and clients. Salespersons need to make potential clients interested and curious to try out the products through a business pitch. They must also ensure that the customers get the right product that they need.

Political Organiser

Want to support your chosen political cause or party? As a political organiser, you will rally the people to support your cause and reach out to others who want to be part of it.

This job also involves making fundraisings, setting-up appointments, and scouting for venues for political rallies.
