Getting back to the objective of today’s post, here are the best jobs you can try out if you enjoy observing others (not in a creepy sort of way):
Registered Nurse
Nurses, as well as other medical professionals, need to be observant to give the right care for their patients as their conditions change and guide them to a speedy recovery.
Nurses must be able to determine which medications to provide, how to administer them, perform the right tests and provide mental and emotional support for the families and the patients. Some nurses can even get involved with outreach programs and educate the public about health and well-being.
If humans are not high on your list to stare at, you can try your hand at being a veterinarian assistant.
Police Officer
As a police officer, you are tasked to watch over the safety of the public and the properties owned by the government. They must be able to observe everyone around them without inciting panic and informing criminals that they are onto them.
They must also be able to respond immediately in emergency situations and collect evidence, make the proper arrest and testify if required by the court.
Social Worker
Social workers don’t just work with children and give them the care they need, they also observe these children to see what other help they need. They must be able to determine if children need emotional or mental help, which is affecting their development.
Social workers also work with the parents to develop a good scheme for their children to follow so they can handle their child’s needs even at home. Good observance skills are important to differentiate a strict parenting from an abusive one.
Environmental Specialists
Environmental specialists are the ones who determine the health of the environment and what can be done to protect it. They go to various locations to determine the air, soil and water quality in the area and see if there are contaminants that must be listed as a danger to the environment.
They are also the ones tasked to report everything to key bodies so that action can be done to protect the environment. They can also recommend solutions on what can be done and see if everything has improved or not.
Sociologists
Sociologists can also be a career for people who love to observe others. They study different types of people and see what influences their behaviour.
They also conduct regular surveys and interviews to determine the best way to use the trends they observe to help these groups in certain social issues. Many of them are also privately hired by big corporation for their expertise in helping their marketing strategies.
Conclusion
Being observant is a great skill to have if you want to work in a field that lets you practice it to your heart’s content. With the following careers above, you will definitely put your skills to the test and help people in the process.
