I know most of you have blogs for a decade and probably posted like thousands of articles, and I am the new kid on the block. *grin* But is not to say that I have not been hanging around the writing community. I have always been the silent observer and this year, I have decided to take the reins by its horn and be a contributor!
MiddleMe is 3 months old and thanks to you, my readers, it has grown leaps and bounds. The last two months I have been hard at work, reading every advice I could get my hands on about blogging tips and including audience interactions in my posts. So from a steady stream of 13 views per day in July and August to a tremendous gigantic leap of 40 views per day in September. From a tiny 3 unique visitors per day in the first two months to 10 unique visitors per day in September!!!
Yay!!!!! Thank you, thank you and thank you.
It is important to let you know how much I appreciate that you take out time to read my article, drop me a comment and even sent me numerous emails. I want you all to know that it’s the encouragements from you readers and friends that made me want to share more and benefit more people.
And another BIG news: I have reached 100 followers!! Woohoo!
Now I want to do something special for all my readers. I am including a column on the side to showcase writers who leave a comment so that you will get noticed by other readers from my website. So remember to update your Gravatar and have your avatar link back to your own website! Choose a nice picture!
My promise to you: 1. I will continue to write hard and share as much as I can along the direction of work and career related articles.
2. I will not deviate from fact findings and will still stick to keeping every topic light and readable. This is to allow all my articles easy reading so you can share with anyone and everyone who needs it.
3. I will stay true to myself and will continue to read everyone’s post every single day. You may not get a Everyday comment but you definitely will get a “Like” if I have read your post.
Last but not least. You have been a witness to my thoughts about wisdom at workplace and sensitive topics like bullying, racism and politics. I do realise that I have not share too much about myself as a person, prompting some of you writing to me directly via email to know more about me. I am going to use this platform – a monthly progress update of MiddleMe to share a little Trivia about Kally.
Trivia Time The name MiddleMe took me a long time to come up with. I actually had a few names selected, including Sandwich-d, StuckInBetween, KallyInTheMiddle (inspired by the TV show Malcolm In the Middle). I wanted a name to show that in life we are often stuck in between but the most obvious is when you are in middle management, you are often stuck between the big guns wanted you to fire someone to align the profits and you wanting to save your precious hardworking team. As a manager, I found myself often the hotdog between the buns. After taking a month of asking almost everyone I know what would be the perfect name for this website and the direction I am driving at, I woke up one morning with the name MiddleMe and even had the logo drawn up in my dream! Ta-da! Birth of MiddleMe.net!
