Top Courses to Upskill Yourself in 2023

Nowadays, it is not enough to only have a few skills and work experience to grow in a specific career since each career adapts to the changing industry. Employees, both young and old, are always recommended to keep their skills up-to-date and learn new skills they did not know before. Some employers even offer training, seminars, and scholarships to those interested in upskilling since it can help produce productive and experienced employees.

Short courses are recommended for those who wish to get accreditation for skill-specific professions such as childcare aids, beauticians, first aid providers, guest house managers and wedding planners. Technical schools often offer short courses, and those who take them are given a certificate to show they have completed the course.

Other than technical schools, there are plenty of courses offered online. You can do those remotely and at your own time and pace.

edX is an online platform offering courses, certifications, and degrees from top universities and institutions globally. It leans towards more technical studies like programming and coding.

Udemy is an online learning marketplace with over 155,000 courses on a variety of topics, including business, technology, and personal development.

LinkedIn Learning

LinkedIn Learning is an online learning platform that offers courses on a range of topics, including business, technology, and creative skills.

As each industry changes to match existing trends and accommodate the needs of the people, you, as an employee, need to adapt accordingly. With these courses above, you can update your knowledge and find ways to use your new skills to help you grow in your chosen career. But, before you take these courses, see how they would apply to your career and make the necessary arrangements with your employer if you need to take some time off or need additional funding. You will be surprised how your employers will support you as you lean towards upskilling yourself.
