10 Most Common Ways to Make Money with Your Website

Everybody wants to make the hours spent on their websites generate finances as well as likes and smiles. It is not so daunting as it may seem at first glance. Is it possible to turn your personal blog into a website that drives profit for you? Yes, it is possible.

Here are 10 of the most common ways to make it happen:

Google Adsense

One of the oldest and most popular ways is Google AdSense. It is free and relatively easy to start off but the rules are very strict. It is best explained by the Google Adsense site itself since there are two ways of doing it. Its success depends on traffic to your site, essentially hundreds of clicks or pageviews per day.

Affiliate Marketing

Earning referral commission is a familiar concept to most people. It is now called “Promoting Products As An Affiliate.” With this method, you place an affiliate advertising banner on your website and every time someone uses the banner to buy the product, you get a percentage commission. Many products have online affiliate programs. The largest is probably Amazon, which is free to join and has thousands of products to select from.

Lead Generation

Lead generation works a lot like affiliate promotion. advertiser’s landing page. A tracking system records the number of redirections but a valid lead is created only when the visitors fill in the contact sheet for the advertiser.

E-mail Advertising

Many companies swear by it and claim that it has the highest ROI. Again, the effectiveness of this channel depends a lot on the content of your website and what you are promoting or selling. This method can easily degenerate into spam creation so you need to be careful how you go about it. Follow the advice that is given on websites that use this successfully.

Native advertising

This is a software package that generates related content suggestions based on the search that directed the visitor to your website. You typically see this on news sites. Similar to AdSense, payment is per click.

Sell your own service or products

This seems obvious but whatever your website is about, it could be possible to sell anything from your work experience to the wooden toys that you make for a hobby. The main requirement is to assess the reason why a person visited your website – would they also be interested in what you want to sell?

eBooks and training courses

Have a website where you post your photography? Why not sell eBooks on photography on your site? Or teach others how to take stunning pictures? Be like one of my favourite trainers that trains your fitness online or be a master coach to alleviate others’ worries.

Sponsored posts

More and more bloggers are writing sponsored posts. Briefly, it means that you get paid for writing an article that reviews some branded product or service. There are strict rules of disclosure when you do this.

YouTube videos

A hit-or-miss option is to create videos, upload it to YouTube, paste it back onto your site and be paid when people view it. A bit technical, but stories of videos that went viral and earned loads of money abound.

Sell your website

Almost all advisors on making money from your website will tell you that selling a successful website is the final coup. Ultimately, if your website is popular with a certain niche, companies may approach you to buy over your domain or your business.

There are more ways to make money from your website, as any Google search will tell you. Try more than one and select something that works for the amount of time and effort you can put in. Who says you can’t make it big as a keyboard warrior? Of course, you need hard work to get there first!
