Are you a blogger and looking for a way to promote your content? You should consider using Instagram to promote your blog if that is a yes.
Instagram is one of the most popular social media platforms worldwide, enabling users to share visual content. No matter what kind of niche you have, you will find an audience on Instagram.
So, how can you use the platform to promote your blog? Here are some tips to get you started:
1. Use the Link in Bio Feature
When making your profile on Instagram, you have the option to put a link in your bio. If you regularly update your blog, you may have to replace the link often in your profile, which can affect your traffic. To reduce this possibility, use tools that allow you to share multiple links with only one link, like LinkIn.bio or Linktree.
You sign up for either of these sites, edit your landing page links and theme, and hit publish when you are done. The site would then give you a link that you can post on Instagram that will direct people to your landing page. These sites offer analytics, allowing you to see how many people have checked your links at any given time.
2. Post High-Quality And Relevant Content
To become successful in blogging and on Instagram, you need to show that your content is relevant and high-quality to give your audience a solid reason to check your blog.
Before posting on your Instagram account, list down the types of posts you can do to support your blog. For example, if your blog is about fashion, you can use high-quality photos of models featuring the brand you want to discuss. You can also up the ante for your photos and videos by adding filters and text overlays to help them pop further.
3. Share Your Blog Post Through Instagram Stories
Instagram Stories is a great feature that you should use to drive traffic to your blog. You can show a photo of your blog and add the link sticker feature to link people to your blog before sharing it to your story reel.
Make sure to emphasize your link sticker to catch your viewer’s attention, and you can also add GIFs. It is important to note that Stories do disappear after 24 hours unless you pin them as a “highlight”, which would appear in your bio.
4. Follow Other Bloggers
Posting on your account is just one way of promoting your blog on Instagram. Another way to get noticed on the platform is by actively following, commenting and ‘liking’ the content shared by other bloggers in the same industry as you. Check which bloggers or personalities are on the platform that you like and start following them.
You can also check the ‘tags’ search feature to see which content creators are active in your chosen niche.
5. Tease Your Audience
If you are sharing your blog posts on Instagram, they must be paired with captions that will tease your audience about their content. For example, if you are posting about a product you are reviewing, give them intriguing snippets from your blog entry and invite them to check the rest of the post through the link in your bio.
6. Use Instagram Ads
Why not use Instagram Ads if you have some extra funds? With this feature, you can control which pages you want your audience to check and expand your post’s scope to other users who may like your content.
Instagram is a fun place to market your blog once you learn how to master its features and the available tools to make it more efficient. However, remember that these strategies take some time to take root, and you need to know which one fits your needs.
